After many months hunched over a keyboard, in a dimly lit room, I can now say that the Housecreep relaunch is complete.
On the downside, I now look something like this:
At least it’s the right time of year to look like Nosferatu.
I wish I could say that launching the new Housecreep just before Halloween was all just a part of my plan, but truth is, I ended up spending more time on it than I originally intended. Like most personal projects of mine, deadlines are like my alarm in the morning — a reminder that I need to get up eventually, but not until I hit the snooze button three or four times. Except instead of five more minutes of sleep, it’s five more days (and nights) of sitting at the computer, rocking back and forth, mumbling “I gotta get this done” over and over again.
Although it took longer than anticipated, it’s a good feeling when you finally come out the other side knowing you did what you needed to do and feeling like this:
But, you know, without the tragic, ironic Twilight Zone twist.
Over the past few months, I’ve learned quite a bit, but… I’ll talk about that another day. For right now, I’m going to unchain myself from the computer desk before I miss out on all the Halloween spirit.
Oh, and if you’re looking to get into the Halloween spirit too, the new Housecreep is a good place to start!
